Medsure Logistics B.V. carries medicines by road across Europe. Our clients trust us to keep their products safe, secure and at the right temperature from collection to delivery. This policy sets out how we meet that trust.
1.Our commitment
Medsure is committed to working in line with the EU Guidelines on Good Distribution Practice of medicinal products for human use (2013/C 343/01), the transport requirements of our clients, and all laws that apply to the goods we carry, including those for controlled medicines.
2.How we do this
- Quality system: we run a documented quality management system with written procedures for every key task.
- Clear responsibility: management owns quality. Named people are responsible for quality oversight and transport operations.
- Temperature control: our vehicles are temperature-mapped, and calibrated loggers record conditions on every trip.
- Security: loads are sealed and locked. Vehicles are GPS-tracked, and drivers are trained and screened.
- Chain of custody: every handover is recorded, and permits and transport documents travel with the goods.
- Risk management: we assess the risks of each route before we run it, and review them regularly.
- Deviations: any problem, such as a temperature excursion, breakdown or delay, is reported to the client promptly, investigated and fixed at the root.
- Training: all staff are trained in GDP and in their own tasks before they work on client shipments, with refresher training.
- Subcontractors: we only use subcontractors that we have checked and that our client has approved.
- Audits: we welcome client audits and carry out our own internal checks.
3.Continuous improvement
We review this policy, our procedures and our performance at least once a year, and whenever laws, guidelines or our services change.
